HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - Officials of Meijer, Inc. will go before the Holland Township Board tonight with plans for expanding the site of the former Bareman’s Dairy plant, seeking approval of a zoning change request. The Walker-based retailer bought the Charles Street property in March as part of the sale of Bareman’s brand and distribution network to an Illinois firm, and the proposed zoning expansion includes where some residential homes currently sit near 129^th Avenue south of Lakewood Boulevard. Meijer is eventually looking for tax abatements to help defray the planned eight million dollars in building and equipment costs for any proposed renovation.
