ST. JOSEPH, MI (WHTC) - The campaign war chest of Congressman Fred Upton continues to be well-stocked. In filings with the Federal Election Commission by yesterday’s deadline, the 13-term incumbent from St. Joseph reported more than 617 thousand dollars in fundraising for the second quarter of 2012, with more than a million dollars spent, and around 1.8 million dollars cash on hand. Those numbers overshadow those of Upton’s challengers: GOP primary foe Jack Hoogendyk at 44 thousand and 34 thousand, respectively; and Democrat Mike O’Brien of Douglas at 95 thousand and 90 thousand.
