ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A 55-year-old Illinois woman is dead and a man remains hospitalized after a boating accident in Lake Allegan on Sunday afternoon. The couple was on a pontoon boat that was struck by a speed boat near the Allegan Dam. The woman, identified as Mary Srebro, succumbed to head injuries at Allegan General Hospital; the man is being treated for non-life threatening ailments. Six persons on the speed boat were treated at the scene for bumps or bruises. Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies continue a “criminal” investigation.
