HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - After a stretch of five days in which temperatures were seasonal, heat wave conditions returned to the Lakeshore over the weekend. The 17^th and 18^th Air Quality Alerts of the season were issued by the state DEQ for yesterday and today; only eight such cautions for pollutants were posted all of last year. Holland’s MAX Transit resumes its free ride services on its fixed bus routes today in an effort to cut down on personal vehicular traffic in Holland, Zeeland and Holland Township. More hot weather is predicted through the rest of the week for the Lakeshore, with chances of getting needed rain considered slim at best.
