UNDATED (WHTC) - Miguel Cabrera hit a solo homer, and Jhonny Peralta followed shortly thereafter with a three-run round-tripper to cap a four-run fifth inning for the Tigers, as they went on to post their sixth straight victory, a 7-2 triumph at Baltimore last night. The series in Camden Yards continues this afternoon, with coverage on 1450 WHTC beginning at 3:40 PM.

Alfonso Soriano cracked two homers and drove in five runs, powering the Cubs to their 10th win in their last 14 games, an 8-1 decision over visiting Arizona yesterday. The series at Wrigley Field in Chicago continues this afternoon.

Kevin Youkilis’ sacrifice fly in the 14th inning plated the winning run, as the White Sox outlasted the Royals in Kansas City last night, 9-8, for their sixth win in seven games. The series at Kauffman Stadium continues this evening.

The Whitecaps spanked out eight hits and scored six runs before a batter had even been retired last night, as they romped to a 12-3 victory at Clinton last night. Jeff McVaney and Eugenio Suarez each had a homer and three RBI for West Michigan, who open up a three-game series in suburban Chicago against Kane County this evening.
