HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The search is on for a gas station robber in Holland. According to authorities, a tall, black male between 18 and 30, with a muscular build, walked into the Family Fare convenience store on South Washington Avenue around 10:30. Drawing a black, semi-automatic handgun, the suspect grabbed the clerk on duty by the hair, pulled her over to the cash register, and forced her to take an undisclosed amount of cash out before fleeing on foot to a car parked a short distance away. The clerk was shaken but not hurt. A police canine unit was able to spot some items that the suspect wore tossed into a dumpster, and those have been sent to the state police crime lab for testing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Holland Public Safety or Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT, www.mosotips.com).
