HOLLAND (WHTC) - The Holland Board of Public Works has pulled the plug on another wind energy project, this one in Allegan County. The city-owned utility spent about $678,000 over the past couple of years to study wind patterns in Overisel and Ganges townships. The study found the winds weren’t quite strong enough to make a wind farm project economically feasible. BPW officials say they’ll look into buying wind energy from the open market, which they think may be more affordable.
