ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - In a special meeting yesterday, the Zeeland Board of Education agreed to appoint an interim superintendent from within the district’s own ranks. Those already employed and those recently retired would be preferred to assume the operational reins for the 2012-13 school year. Applications would be accepted through this Friday afternoon, with names of finalists to be considered in another meeting next Monday morning. David VanGinhoven is acting superintendent following last week’s resignation of Dr. Dave Barry.
