LANSING (WKZO) -- Some state lawmakers appear to be having second thoughts about parts of Michigan's newly-relaxed fireworks law.  One representative from Muskegon has said she is regretting voting for it, and state Senator Tonya Schuitmaker says they may revisit the law when the Legislature returns from its summer break.

At issue is local control, as the new law does not allow police to crack down on the use of fireworks over national holidays.  Local noise ordinances were tossed out on the day before, day of and day after ten holidays and that could be changing.
