Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio has come under fire from animal activists for dying her puppy's fur pink and purple.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals officials have taken aim at the beauty, lecturing about the dangers of colouring pets after the Victoria's Secret regular was spotted out and about with her pampered pooch.
A PETA spokesperson tells X17online.com, ""What most people don't know is that dyeing a companion animal's fur can cause the animal stress and can lead to complications or allergic reactions that endanger the animal's health. Our dogs and cats love us regardless of how we look; why not extend the same kindness to them?""
The outrage comes almost a week after Harry Potter star Emma Watson was photographed in London walking a dog whose coat was dyed bright pink.
The British actress came under fire from pet lovers who accused her of animal cruelty, but Watson insisted the colouring had nothing to do with her, pointing out the pup belonged to a pal who was raising money for charity.
