JENISON, MI (WHTC) - A 22-year-old Grand Rapids man was initially listed in critical condition after being pulled out of a man-made lake at a Jenison park on Saturday afternoon. Authorities say that Cipriano Ramirez was underwater for as long as seven minutes before a human chain from the beach at the 8th Avenue Park was able to retrieve him. He was revived at the scene before being taken to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital for treatment. It was not immediately known the circumstances that led to Ramirez' submersion, as the incident remains under investigation.
