LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Two persons with Lakeshore ties were named to state nursing panels by Governor Snyder. Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital’s Jill DeVries will represent licensed practical nurses on the 23-member Michigan Board of Nursing that oversees licensure requirements and standards. Hope College alum Carl Ver Beek, a Grand Rapids-based attorney, joins the nine-member state Board of Nursing Home Administrators that determines minimal entry-level requirements for those wishing to operate such facilities. Both appointments are for four-year terms that run through the end of June, 2016, with the state Senate needing to sign off on DeVries, but not needing to with Ver Beek.
