HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The reverberations from a 35-cent increase at the gas pumps, which raised the rates to a near-uniform $3.55 for Independence Day travelers throughout West Michigan, continue to be felt along the Lakeshore. This morning’s survey of Holland area stations showed a per-gallon average of $3.45, down a dime from Monday’s spike, but still 14 cents higher than last Friday at this time. A year ago, motorists were paying $3.83 a gallon.
