LANSING (WKZO) -- Extra police patrols will remain on the roads in 26 Michigan counties through Sunday as part of the efforts to find drunk drivers. Michigan State Police officials say the extra patrols are being paid for by federal traffic safety funds.
Included with the added police patrols are urinal cakes that talk to men hitting the restroom at bars and restaurants, urging them to call a cab or get a sober friend to drive them home. The sound is motion-activated and the devices don't give different messages to sober people.
