KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) - The second debate between Republican Congressional candidates Fred Upton and Jack Hoogendyk was held last evening at the studios of Midwest Communications station WKZO in Kalamazoo. Upton, a 13-term incumbent, is being challenged for the second straight primary by Hoogendyk, a former state lawmaker. The winner on August 7th faces Democrat Mike O’Brien of Douglas in the November 6th general election. The 6th US House District in Michigan now includes all of Allegan County south of the Holland City Limits.
