ALLEGAN (WHTC) - A 54-year-old Glenn man has been charged with attempted murder and two other felonies in a weekend stabbing at a Saugatuck restaurant. John Joseph Kelly Junior was arraigned Monday afternoon in 57^th District Court in Allegan in connection with the Saturday night attack on a 35-year-old man at Marro’s Italian Restaurant. Saugatuck-Douglas Police say the suspect repeatedly asked the victim for a cigarette, and the victim said he didn’t have any. An argument followed, and the victim was stabbed in the neck. Kelly is being held on 500-thousand dollars bond in the Allegan County jail.
