HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Three decades in prison could await a 25-year-old Wisconsin man for an evening of anticipation that ended in tragedy.

Jeffrey Hinds was arraigned yesterday on charges of drunken driving, being under the influence of marijuana, and reckless driving. Authorities had waited until results of toxicology tests returned before issuing a warrant for his arrest last week.

Hinds was driving a SUV that was speeding along 146th Avenue near 60th Street in the West Michigan Regional Airport area last September 29th when he lost control of the vehicle. It went off of the roadway and flew into a house. While Hinds was able to recover from his injuries, his two passengers – 24-year-old Chad Bradbury and 22-year-old Michael Stille – were killed, two days before Bradbury was to marry Stille’s sister.

Free on 10 thousand dollars bond, Hinds is slated for a February 14th preliminary hearing before Allegan District Judge William Baillargeon. If convicted, Hinds may serve up to 30 years in prison.
