DOUGLAS, MI (WHTC) - Saugatuck-area businessman RJ Peterson has withdrawn an offer extended to the City of Douglas for purchasing his Tower Marine facility. The proposal had been on the table for 18 months, but there wasn’t much progress towards agreeing to a price for the property. Peterson will now wait until a newly-formed harbor authority is seated. Last year he sold the SS Keewatin to an Ontario group, who will tow the ship away.
