GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) -- The Detroit Tigers are touring West Michigan this week as a part of their annual winter caravan.  Mid-season the Tigers traded for Doug Fister from the Seattle Mariners.  Fister finished the season strong, helping to propel the club into the American League Championship series.  

Fister spoke with WHTC-AM saying: There were some number differences from Seattle to Detroit but I approach the game the same.  I approach my preperation, everything the same.  I am going to go in and be as consistant as possible everyday."  

He also told WHTC-AM that he doesen't view coming into Detroit as being "the man".  Instead he said "he was focusing on working at the teammates side of things" referring to the Tigers have Justin Verlander on their roster.
