LANSING (WHTC) - The executive director of the Holland Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has been appointed to a statewide tourism commission. Governor Snyder Monday appointed Sally Laukitis, who has headed up the local CVB since 1994, to the Michigan Travel Commission.  Snyder says Laukitis brings extensive experience in marketing the state to the position. Her term expires in August 2014. The state Senate must consent to the governor’s appointment.
