HOLLAND (WHTC) - No timetable has been set for the resumption of a preliminary hearing for Davanh Phouangphet, the 30-year-old Holland Township man facing open murder charges in the death of his landlady. District Judge Susan Jonas recessed the hearing yesterday before the prosecution was able to fully present its case against Phouangphet, who is accused of dousing 53-yaer-old Thanh Le with lantern fuel on January 23 and setting her on fire. Le died a few days after the fire. Phouangphet remains held without bond in the Ottawa County jail.
