LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Michigan Department of Transportation officials have announced a series of road improvement projects for the state’s southwest corner during 2012. Among the efforts is 13 million dollars to rebuild nine miles of northbound I-196 from Saugatuck to US-31, along with 11 million for overhauling more than two miles of M-89 through the heart of Plainwell. The total of 84.7 million for the region is about seven million more than 2011.
