ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - The Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office says that the case against Jeffrey Hinds continues to move forward after the 25-year-old Wisconsin man waived a preliminary hearing last Friday on charges stemming from a fatal crash near West Michigan Regional Airport last September.

Hinds was driving a SUV that was speeding along 146th Avenue near 60th Street in the West Michigan Regional Airport area last September 29th when he lost control of the vehicle. It went off of the roadway and flew into a house. While Hinds was able to recover from his injuries, his two passengers – 24-year-old Chad Bradbury and 22-year-old Michael Stille – were killed, two days before Bradbury was to marry Stille’s sister. Toxicology tests showed alcohol and marijuana in Hinds' system at the time of the crash.

Free on 10 thousand dollars bond, Hinds may serve up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
