LANSING (WHTC) - Employers will not have to reimburse employees for medical marijuana expenses for work-related injuries under a local lawmaker’s bill that Governor Snyder has signed into law. State Senator Rick Jones, a Republican from Grand Ledge whose district includes Allegan County, was the sponsor of the legislation that was signed Friday. It excludes from the state’s workers compensation law medical marijuana expenses from reimbursement requirements. It was one of more than 20 bills the governor signed into law Friday.
