ZEELAND (WHTC) - Looking for a place to get rid of your Christmas tree? Local governmental units have begun accepting trees for disposal. In Zeeland, you can drop off your natural tree at the Brush Drop-Off facility on Riley Street, between Centennial and Fairview, Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. The site will be manned, and you will need proof that you live within the city limits. If you can’t drop it off today, you can bring it to the Riley Street site next Saturday. In Holland, if you have curbside trash and recycling pickup service, you can just leave your tree on the same day as your garbage pickup through January 11. Make sure the tree is cut to 6 feet or less and all decorations, lights, etc., have been removed. If you don’t have curbside pickup, you can drop off your tree at Smallenburg Park, near Municipal Stadium, through January 19.
