HOLLAND (WHTC) - Congressman Bill Huizenga’s Holland office and two other district offices will shut down in a consolidation move. Huizenga, who is moving into his second term on Capitol Hill, says with redistricting, he now represents most of Kent County, and wanted to move his offices closer to those population centers. The congressman will also close offices in Muskegon and Cadillac, the latter of which is now outside his district, and open new offices in downtown Grand Haven and Grandville. Huizenga says about 95 percent of the casework handled by his district offices is now done over the phone and through e-mail, and the consolidation will save taxpayers money.
