HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Despite hopes by some that last Thursday’s storms would dump snow that would linger through the weekend, it appears that, for a second straight year, the Lakeshore will have a green Christmas. Environmentalists claim that this is another sign of global warming, while critics note historical trends that bring those fears into question. The relatively dry conditions will help motorists in travel plans; Thursday’s 20-cent spike in gas prices has receded to marks seen under $3.20 at Holland area stations as this work week began.
