GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Grand Rapids is on a list of cities experiencing the best recoveries following the Great Recession.  The list from the Brookings Institution puts Grand Rapids eighth, with Detroit coming in ninth.

Joblessness in Grand Rapids had the third-best improvement in the U.S., while Detroit was second-best.  The survey tracked the nation's top 100 metro areas since they hit bottom in 2009.
