HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Gas prices along the Lakeshore stayed the same over a seven-day span, as this morning’s survey of 34 stations in the Holland area revealed an average of $3.25 per gallon, with 27 of them posting that figure on their marquees. While this is the same level as last Friday, it is about 20 cents higher than at this time yesterday morning. The combination of an expected demand increase for the upcoming holiday season, along with rising crude oil futures, dashed any motorists’ hopes of under three-dollar fuel for Christmas. Triple-A's daily polling had marks of $3.23 nationally and $3.21 statewide, drops of six and eight cents, respectively, from a week ago.
