SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - Local marina owner RJ Peterson has called for a public meeting at 12:30 this afternoon in the Saugatuck Center for the Arts building to discuss options for dredging Kalamazoo Lake in order to maintain recreational and commercial boat traffic in and out of the harbor that Saugatuck and Douglas share. The Kalamazoo Lake Harbor Authority has determined that it will take around two million dollars to clear out silt by next summer.
