PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) - An argument turned violent at a Park Township apartment unit late on Friday night, leading to the wounding of two men and the arrest of a third. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Lieutenant Mark Bennett, the knifing in the area of 144th Avenue and Quincy Street stemming from a disagreement that turned violent. The suspect pulled out a knife and started stabbing the victim, while a third person on the scene was cut attemping to break up the altercation. The suspect fled before deputies arrived.
The 32-year-old victim was eventually flown to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital for treatment of several critical wounds to the head and neck, while the other victim was treated for his injuries. The 17-year-old suspect was captured without incident about six hours later at the home of a relative, and spent the rest of the weekend in the Ottawa County Jail awaiting a scheduled Monday arraignment in Holland District Court on various charges.
