WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - It was the last day for four Ottawa County Commissioners, as they were honored at yesterday’s board meeting. Bob Karsten of Zeeland, Dennis Swartout of Grand Haven, Roger Rycenga of Allendale and Jane Ruiter of Spring Lake all opted not to seek reelection last month. The commissioners also cited District Court Judge Richard Kloote and Drain Commissioner Paul Geerlings, both of whom are retiring at year’s end.
