SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials told an audience in South Haven last night that they will continue a stepped-up schedule of inspections during 2013 of the Palisades plant in Covert. The facility’s rating has been upgraded, and the behavior and actions there are considered adequate. Anti-nuclear activists continue to demand a total closure after a number of leaks and operational shutdowns over the past two years.
