DETROIT (WKZO) -- Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon is exploring his bid for mayor of Detroit through a series of listening tours.
On Monday, Napoleon announced the formation of an exploratory committee to weigh a bid to become the city's next mayor. He says he will conduct listening tours in the city to gauge whether he should run next year.
Napoleon is the latest high-profile candidate to consider a run for mayor. State Representatives Lisa Howze and Fred Durhal have already announced their candidacy and Detroit Medical Center head Mike Duggan is also considering a run.
