LANSING (WKZO) -- Democrats are threatening to derail legislation that could bring a new arena to downtown Detroit.
On Monday, House Democratic Leader Rich Hammel said that his caucus will cast "no" votes the rest of the lame-duck session if right-to-work legislation is passed. Democrats have threatened to kill a package that would help bring a new Detroit Red Wings arena to Detroit as well as bills to repair broken streetlights in the city.
Hammel says that they'll derail the bills, even if it means hurting Democratic priorities.
