HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council yesterday named the Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway as its 2012 Watershed Stakeholder of the Year. The honor goes to the person or organization that has made significant contributions to improving water quality in the Macatawa Watershed. The Greenway was cited for supporting research efforts, including securing substantial private funding to study sediment and E. coli sources in the waters that flow along the Macatawa River from Hudsonville to Lake Michigan.
