HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Officials of the early education initiative Ready for School released its annual report yesterday. It showed that 61 percent of youngsters entertaining kindergarten in Holland, Zeeland and Hamilton were ready for such education in 2012, continuing a “positive trend” in which all aspects of preparation had improved from year ago levels. Organizers say that the initiative’s goal of increasing the percentage of new kindergarteners who meet benchmark criteria of readiness from 55 percent in 2010 to 75 percent by 2015 is still attainable.
