OTSEGO, MI (WHTC) - Flags in Otsego will be at half-staff today in honor of Steve Stevenson, a captain and paramedic in that southeast Allegan County city’s fire department, who died last night from complications following 13 hours of surgery due to emergency health issues. He had been in New York assisting in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts when he was stricken, and was supposed to return to his wife and daughter at their home yesterday. Funeral arrangements were pending as this work week began.
