WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Republican House Speaker John Boehner has announced that Congresswoman Candice Miller of Michigan will head up the House Administration Committee.

In a statement, Boehner says Miller's previous experience as Michigan's Secretary of State will be helpful given the committee's oversight of campaign finance and election laws.  Currently, Miller is the only Republican woman expected to head a House committee when the new Congress convenes in January.
