LAS VEGAS (WKZO) -- Floyd "Money" Mayweather has about three-million reasons to root for Michigan when they take on Alabama in the opening weekend of this year's college football season tomorrow. That's how much the champion boxer from Grand Rapids has wagered on the Wolverines to beat the 14-point spread against the favored Crimson Tide this Saturday.
He had to lay it off across nine Las Vegas sports books.
It's not the first mega-bet the 35-year-old's ever made. Mayweather once bet one-million bucks on the Denver Broncos to lose in the AFC divisional playoffs. Not only did he win that bet, but he put another one-point-nine-million on the Clippers in a regular season NBA game and won that too.
