HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Evening fixed bus service through downtown Holland and the shopping district of Holland’s North Side will become a reality on October 1st. A 13.6-mile “Twilight Route,” with nearly 30 stops hourly from 7 to 10 PM Monday through Saturday evening, was approved by the Macatawa Area Express Authority Board yesterday. Officials say that demand for the current “Night Owl” on-call service had exceeded 15-20 ride capacity. A federal grant of 60 grand, matched by 30 thousand from MAX coffers, will pay for the new route.
