HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Gas prices along the Lakeshore are again menacingly nearing the four-dollar plateau after yesterday’s spike of over a quarter per gallon. This morning’s survey of Holland area stations showed an average of $3.95, with rates varying only three or four cents either way. The mean is a dime more than last Friday, and motorists are paying 44 cents more per gallon now than they did a month ago, and 21 cents above costs seen at this time in 2011. Triple-A’s daily polling had marks of $3.73 nationally and $3.90 across Michigan.
