GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Men's magazine "GQ" is putting a spotlight on ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, with both criticism and praise of what's quickly become the largest art competition in the world.
The article mentions last year's grand prize of 250-thousand dollars, comparing it to the Guggenheim's Hugo Boss Prize of 100-thousand dollars and the Turner Prize of 40-thousand. It also is a bit critical of ArtPrize founder Rick DeVos, who is the grandson of Amway co-founder Dick DeVos.
This year's ArtPrize runs from September 17th to October 7th.
