LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Rick Snyder is abandoning plans of setting up a state-run health insurance exchange. After repeatedly failing to convince state House Republicans to authorize the program, the governor is scrapping the idea for now.
A governor spokesperson says Snyder hopes to team up with the federal government to create a website for customers to shop online for health insurance. The joint partnership comes as President Obama's health reform law gets ready to take effect in November.
