Is there anything worth being excited about these days besides the impending release of The Master? There might be (friends, work, vacation), but we're too distracted scouring the Internet for any extra clip or information that comes out about Paul Thomas Anderson's new film. And while there are still a few weeks left, folks in San Francisco were graced with this new clip to promote a screening of the film on August 21.
The clip features an almost feral animal-like Joaquin Phoenix hoofing (and huffing) down the pier with a rhythmic and desperate cadence. It's both hypnotic and unsettling.
Check out the teaser below and please, if you live in San Francisco, check out the screening because what else could you possibly have to do that's more important than seeing a movie that involves cults and Philip Seymour Hoffman? The answer is nothing. Obviously.
The Master comes to theaters on September 12, 2012.
