WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Republican U.S. Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra is calling for six debates with his opponent, incumbent Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow.  The former west Michigan congressman wants to debate Stabenow at locations across the state.

A number of news organizations are offering to host the debates.  So far, the Detroit Economic Club and TV stations in Grand Rapids and Flint are hoping to host the debates.
