HOLLNAD (WHTC) - The city of Holland will not pursue a second sister city relationship. The city’s International Relations Commission Thursday decided not to recommend the city add Nagahama, Japan as a sister city. City Human Relations Director Al Serrano says the city is not in a position financially to take on a new relationship, and even if it could, the organization sponsoring such sister-city relationships says cities should have only one partnership. Holland has had a sister-city relationship with Queretaro, Mexico, for 16 years.
