MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) - A 43-year-old Holland man with less than a year to go on his parole is back behind bars. Shane Wheeler was arraigned yesterday in Muskegon District Court on breaking and entering and habitual offender charges after what authorities claim was a weekend burglary spree of a couple of large business complexes in Fruitport. He was arrested before dawn on Saturday with a flashlight and an apparently burglary tool, allegedly caught red-handed. Four businesses and a vacant office on North Third Avenue were victimized. Wheeler, who had served time for various offenses in Ottawa County dating back more than 20 years, remains held on 20 thousand dollars bond pending an August 27th preliminary hearing.
