HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Things have gone from bad to worse for the family of a teenaged hot dog cart vendor.

The mother of 13-year-old Nathan Duszynski, who was rebuffed by Holland’s downtown zoning laws from operating across from City Hall last month, claims that she, her son and her husband are now homeless. Lynette Johnson and Duszynski are in the Holland Rescue Mission, while her unemployed husband is staying at a friend’s pole barn because his prescription medications aren’t allowed in the shelter. The teen sold his hot dog cart to a Holland businessman, who is letting him use it for free because it's the only income the family has right now. City staffers are reviewing a request from the Johnson’s to change the zoning laws.
