SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Despite cloudy skies and showers, the 49th National Blueberry Festival began its weekend run in South Haven yesterday. Organizers are expecting as many as 40 thousand visitors to the community south of the Lakeshore, with vendors, games, activities and entertainment planned throughout the downtown district. The state’s blueberry crop has survived various adverse conditions this year, as opposed to apples and other fruits.
